Welcome to Making Memories Bright, a nonprofit founded in loving memory of Melissa Bandeff—a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Melissa passed away from breast cancer, leaving behind her husband and daughter.
Through this foundation, we carry her light forward—by raising awareness for breast cancer, supporting families who’ve experienced loss, and providing scholarships to students who have lost a parent. Throughout the year, we host events to raise funds, bring the community together, and keep Melissa’s story alive.

Scholarship
Bright Futures Await
We are excited to award scholarships to students who have been touched by cancer—because we understand that grief can dim even the brightest futures. Our goal is to help lighten that burden and keep their dreams within reach.
The scholarship is open to high school seniors or college students with families touched by cancer, and who have demonstrated resilience, compassion, and a drive to create a better future.
